All members will play the gold set of tees.  Generally this will be from the white tee monument markers.

GROSS & NET PRIZES

There will be one prize pool for gross and net competitions.

SKILL COMPETITION PRIZES

There will be one prize pool for “skill competitions” such as ‘closest to the pin’, ‘long drive’, etc.

HANDICAPS USED IN NET SCORE COMPETITIONS

All members will use their full handicap computed from the white tee. Scores will be recorded as white tee rounds.

SKIN COMPETITIONS

There will be one skin pool, participation in skins is optional.

HANDICAPS USED IN SKIN COMPETITIONS

For net skin competitions, which is optional, handicaps are limited to 18 strokes (14 if you don't count the par 3's).  However, a stroke on a par 3 is not allowed.

SIGNUP POLICY

Members must be signed up to play by noon Monday.  You may sign up either as an individual or as a group if you wish to make your own foursome (or twosome, threesome).  Be sure to indicate whether you want to play blue or white tees.

On the morning of play, you are required to check in with Tai one half hour prior to starting to confirm your spot and get ready to go to the tee.

Here are the ways to sign up:

1.             Tai Kreider will have a Signup Sheet with him on Tuesday when you check in; you can sign up for next week at that time.

2.             The Signup Sheet will be left in the pro shop during the week; you can sign up any time until noon Monday.

3.             You can email or call Dan Smith (505-6665) anytime before noon Monday.

If you have not signed up ahead of time and just show up at the course, there is a good chance you will not get to play.

If you must cancel, you are obligated to either notify the pro shop or call or email Dan.

HOLE IN ONE INSURANCE

Optional 'hole in one' insurance is available.  If covered, you will get paid $200 in Redhawk script for a verified hole in one during Mens Club events. Cost is $5 payable at signup and also whenever a  hole in one is paid off.  If interested, signup and pay Tai Kreider.

GUEST POLICY

We encourage members to bring guests out to play with the Men's Club.  They may come any Tuesday except when we hold special monthly competitions that are 2 or 4 man team events. (Check the Schedule to see when this occurs.)

Guests may play at the Member rate which is $5 off the going CSC rate (at check in ask for the Mens Club rate.)  In general, members are limited to six guests per year; an exception may be granted upon approval by the Tournament Director.

Guests are not eligible to play in any of the regular member competitions (scores, closest to the pin, etc.).

Guests are allowed to participate in the optional skins games if they have a current USGA index.

Local Rules

WOODEN PILINGS – Provided the ball does not lie in a hazard, all wooden pilings are played as immovable obstructions. Determine nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole, and drop within one club-length, no penalty.

EMBEDDED BALL – Through the green, a ball embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground may be lifted, without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped must first strike a part of the course through the green.

STAKED TREES – If such a tree interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, the ball must be lifted, without penalty, and dropped within one club-length at the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole.

PUBLIC ROADS – A ball that crosses a public road defined as out of bounds and comes to rest beyond that road is out of bounds, even though it may lie on another part of the course.

WASTE AREAS – Waste Areas on holes 6, 12, and 13 are played as through the green.

STONES IN BUNKERS – Stones in bunkers are moveable obstructions.

BRIDGES – the bridges on holes 1, 8 and 18 are immovable obstructions. A ball coming to rest on a portion of the bridge within the Lateral Hazard is in the hazard. Play the ball as it lies or proceed under the Lateral Water Hazard Option. A ball coming to rest on a portion of the bridge not in the hazard may be played under the Immovable Obstruction rule. Determine the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole and drop within one club-length, no penalty.

DOUBT AS TO PROCEDURE – If a doubtful situation arises, the player may play two balls. Before doing so, the player must announce to a fellow-competitor he intends to play two balls and which ball he wishes to count if the Rules permit. The competitor must reports the facts to the Committee before returning his scorecard, even if he scores the same with both balls. If he fails to do so, he is disqualified.

All other play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf
