competition. On each hole, two net scores are combined to
create one team score; one score is from the person playing the
"devil ball", the second the Net Best Ball from the
other players. So when it's your turn to play the Devil
Ball, the onus is on you to come through for the team because your
score is going to count. Players are designated A,B, C &
D before the round, then devil ball rotates sequentially (A is
devil ball for hole 1, etc.).

be at the next Tuesday regular tournament.

regular play there will be an additional competition for Gross
Senior & Super Senior. Election to play for Senior if
player is 55+ years old, and Super Senior if player is 65+..
Winner of competitions will qualify for SCGA competition in
December (Senior) and November (Super Senior).

the Pro
|
This
year play from Blue monuments. Players will be able to
challenge any of Redhawks Professional staff who have volunteered
for the tournament; the challenger playing at net, the Pro playing
at scratch. Each challenge includes a $5 "bet"; if
the Pro wins the challenger gets $5 in scrip, if the Challenger
wins he gets $10 in scrip. Challenge as many Pros as are
playing, or fewer at your choice. Can't Lose! The
course will be set up like a hard tournament; tight pins, rolled
fast greens. We get to play like the big guys!

will be a charity-driven event. Prizes will go to a chosen
charity rather than player, along with any additional donations
that are given. Charity not selected yet.

Pinehurst

person teams. Add 2 h/c's and divide by 2. In the
Pinehurst System, both players tee off, then they switch balls.
Player A plays Player B's drive, and vice-versa. Each player hits
the second shot. They then select the best of the second shots,
and from that point until the ball is holed they play only one
ball in an alternate shot format.
